There has not been a Norfolk Southern stop in Dowagiac since Ameriwood packed up and moved out of town. The complex where Ameriwood was located is now a Dorel distribution center. I recently noticed a new turnout being assembled to replace the turnout for the spur that went to Ameriwood. Does anyone know if there are any plans for the new distribution center to be serviced by rail?

The only plans that I have heard of recently are the connecting of the sidings from Niles-Kalamazoo. With a platform improvement at the Dowagiac station.
