The Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers held their first Virtual (via Zoom) meeting on July 17, 2020. Our membership was able to ask Al Johnson, Acting Director for MDOT's Rail Division, questions on the development of the Wolverine corridor and the new equipment order. Derrick James, Amtrak Governmental Affairs, provided insight into new policies governing intercity rail. You can gain first hand knowledge of new passenger rail developments by joining our organization. To apply go to: MARP.org. Membership costs only $20.00 per year for seniors and $30.00 for a general membership. Dues may be paid via PayPal. Membership includes a once per month electronic newsletter and a copy of our bi-annual newspaper The Michigan Passenger.
