Plymouth Sub Searchlights
Plymouth Sub Searchlights
Going to venture down the Plymouth Sub tomorrow, hopefully, to shoot Q329 between some searchlights. I don't want to venture too far from Grand Rapids, so where is the closest searchlight to Grand Rapids? Is it Lake Odessa?

Re: Plymouth Sub Searchlights
With the exception of Ensel to North Lansing, and a few random intermediates east of there, everything from Lake Odessa to Beck Road in Plymouth is search lights.

Re: Plymouth Sub Searchlights
Technically, at the moment there is modern equipment (not searchlights) from the intermediate west of Ensel at the Airport to MA Jct, inclusive. An exception is a lone searchlight installation for westbounds at Ensel on a high mast. Also, the signals at the two junctions east of Ensel are safe trans equipment but use C&O signal rules, displaying the high red over low red stop aspect and others typical of the “old C&O” south of Michigan. More then you wanted to know!
