Anyone know why the ITCS is down on the Amtrak Line. Been hearing some strange engine numbers.

Thanks

ITCS is getting some upgrades this weekend going into Monday and supposedly, it will be turned back on on Tuesday from Porter to CP Townline. The engines numbers you hear are the ITCS equipped units that ran in Illinois ( numbered in the 50s' and 60s' and they have the upgraded ITCS apparatus) that will run here in Michigan until those @#$@&%@ chargers are finally released for service.....

Is there an ITCS test train out tonight? Hearing someone pass on the AML right now, can’t determine which direction. TransitDocs doesn’t show anyone nearby.

There was a test train in the pass at Kalamazoo a couple nights ago, consisted of a P42, a viewliner baggage, a cafe, and another P42. They were sitting East of CP 142 at 5:30pm on Friday.

Today I had 59 leading Amtrak 353 west and 69 leading 350 east. Both sets were double ended. Never thought I would be glad to see a wolverine set up as such, but it has been a couple years since that was the norm.

351 didn’t get above 78 yesterday so it appears to still be down.

59 is leading today's 351. This set isn't double-ended.

General Order No. 5-S01, effective yesterday, lowered maximum speeds from Townline to Porter to 79. This is shown as a revision of Special Instructions on the new April 8 ETT, not Temporary Restrictions. So who knows how long this will last.

I hope it's so they can work the ITCS equipped Chargers into actual service.
The remaining ones were supposed to make it to Chicago in the recent past.

I hear that the speeds are back up to 110 today. Unpredictable.
