Thanksgiving Weekend Extra Amtraks.

Unread post by Jochs »

Today and Sunday, Amtrak will be running extra trains to and from Chicago into Michigan. Here is a link to the schedules of these trains:

Looks like I may have to go out after work today and catch 373.

I wish they were running it on Friday as well. In years past they ran more than just the two days like this year.

#356 had five cars, 4 Horizon and 1 Amfleet. Engine #32 leading and #36 on the back end.

356 just took an approach at CP28 single main to main 2 east. Should be resetting and flipping the train at CP28, then back west to board the 359 trip. Consist is 5 cars bracketed by 2 (very tired looking) P42's.

372/373 was the same consist as 370/371. 4 Superliners, with Chargers on each end: IDTX 4623 and IDTX 4615
This was P373 at 4:47 pm from the bluff overlooking Lake Michigan along Old Lakeshore Drive in St. Joseph.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Assuming the bluff was stabilized this summer from the lake?
