Cumbres and Toltec GR Press Article

Unread post by MQT1223 »

Wasn't sure if this belonged here or in the Chit Chat area of the forum, but did anyone happen to see the Cumbres and Toltec article in the Grand Rapids Press today? It was in the Travel section of the paper. One of the guys at work gave the paper to me today and the article is now on my toolbox at work.
1223 OUT! President and Founder of the Buck Creek Central, the Rolling River Route! (2012-2017) President and Founder of the Lamberton Valley Railroad, The Tin Plate Road! Proudly railfanning with Asperger's since 1996. :)

I saw the article. It's a great operation, and well worth a trip out there if you haven't seen or ridden it yet.

Visit the Durango & Silverton while you're in the neighborhood. The C&T has wide open vistas, the D&S, narrow canyons. Both very worthwhile to ride. Ride the C&T west to east. They double head one of the grades with a long train, the engineers talk to each other with the whistles (at least they used to) very neat to watch and hear.
