Amtrak is posting many job openings around the country that include the typical railroad positions, and, plumbers, electricians, sheet metal workers, etc. To keep track of the job openings visit www.jobs.amtrak.com Many retirements are happening & positions are opening.

Lots of direct conductor openings on the NEC. I'd jump at the opportunity if I wasn't working on my degree.

Friend of mine on Little River Railroad in Coldwater just got hired on Michigan line, works out of Battle Creek conductors pool.

They had that position open for months, starting back in May or June I think. Glad to see its finally been filled. Congrats to your friend.

Very short of conductors in PNT...BTL extraboard scum :D get called to fill in

That sucks...I assume they drive themselves to PNT instead of being taxied?

Also noticed that Amtrak only has five conductor positions open...four of them are full Conductors: two out of NYP, one out of Washington, and one out of New Haven. The fifth is a Asst. Conductor position out of Albany/Rensselaer.
