Lite power going south through Holland, they run at slow speeds through town. Can't imagine that the 30 year old guy didn't just lay down right before the train arrived as it's just lite power and easy to stop if they saw him.

Light power is not easy to stop. Stops somewhat quicker but its still problematic compared to say a... taxi cab. Factor in weight per brake shoe...ain't that much. And if they could have stopped, rest assured they would have. Person was laying between the rails...suicide.

Agreed. Light power does not have the benefit of the brakes on the trailing cars.

Some Employee Time Tables have speed restrictions on light engines.
