Are the GTW caboose and DWP caboose still on the property?

No they are long gone. See the empty lot to the right of the wedge building? That's where they used to be, along with C&O baggage car 268 and a GT coach. One of those cabooses is the one now at Clare depot (Eagle Scout project).

The C&O baggage car was scrapped in Coopersville about 5 years ago.

Wonder where the cabooses went? Here is a Google Streetview picture from August 2011.

I have a newspaper clipping from my childhood (GR Press) of the cabeese being placed on the property.

The one in the 2011 street view was a GTW-style caboose painted in a red white and blue scheme as I remember. The spur was one of my childhood haunts on my bike and a place to watch the C&O service a couple local industries, usually using an NW and caboose A977 in the yellow scheme.

I grew up about three blocks south of Standard Lumber and always hung out around there. I could probably still sketch out most of the track layout from memory. Seems like they usually switched on Tuesdays, Thursdays and sometimes Saturday. Have some slides from the early 80's that I'll have to scan one of these days. The usual caboose had a plastic horse on the top. I want to say that it was A953 but I'll have to check my pictures, Scored a cab ride or two with the local crew. Alexander Scale Models was on my Photo Reporter route when I was in junior high and I'd stop and talk trains with Glenn Van Winkle.
