PCA activity in Grandville

Unread post by MrDockTrack »

Anyone seen any activity at the Grandville PCA switch recently? It appears that since the expansion of the truck docks rail service has dwindled, or ceased.

They get their paper rolls at Columbian Storage now a days. Off the city market tracks east of Judd Street.

They do still occasionally get boxcars directly at their plant, but they usually have so much paper on hand there that they don’t have any room for anything else. As Dok said, they have the majority of their boxcars sent to Columbian over on the City Market lead, who warehouses the paper for them until PCA needs it, then they’ll truck it over. When they do get cars at Ivanrest, they are delivered during third shift by Y397.
