Talk to the guys at GLC. They are usually very nice guys and open to railfans, as the CEO is one himself. The CEO likes trains enough that occasionally he'll dispatch or even ride in the cab with the crew. I know that was probably meant as a joke but if you really want one of those speeders, GLC might actually take you up on an offer.

I thought I read somewhere that they were hauled out and cut up but I could be wrong. Where is there even a swamp near the yard? The only water I've ever seen is the river.

It's not that yard. From the looks of the map on railpicky, it's San Yard, which has a large drainage type ditch along one side. Considering the photo is from at least 2009, those are likely in even worse shape now, if they're still around.

They were removed a few years ago, they are gone.
