Yes, but following this supposed termination of Detroit traffic, I am wondering if they're due to be abolished

Please read (or re-read) this post. You misunderstood "termination of Detroit traffic".

Supposedly the block swapping of intermodal that went on at NWOC is to take place at Willard.

Q-150/151 originally were Clev/Detroit trains before N Balt was built..

What about the Marion-North Baltimore turn Q109. I think that train only existed because of NB. Will it's traffic be diverted elsewhere or cut?

Expect almost every train which touched North Baltimore to be changed.

There is also a van site at Collinwood Yard on the east side of Cleveland...

So, basically, this isn't "Not so good news for Detroit and North Baltimore," then.

Kinda off the Intermodal topic, but is there any chance they'll add a Manifest from Chicago to Detroit?

I was wondering if there was any possibility they could add a new pair of intermodal-manifest hybrids, kinda like on CN and I believe CP as well.

Not off-topic at all.

I think there is a HIGH chance of this happening. There was already plenty of noise (and seemingly, justification) for a GRP-Detroit train with the manifest traffic. Now that they look to have a decent batch of intermodal and manifest, surely instead of multiple handoffs there could be one single train.

That'd make it so Q326/327 are Chicago-Detroit manifest/intermodal moves, and Q384/385 are Grand Rapids-Selkirk manifests...however with how much traffic is "coming out of the ears" of Wyoming for both Barr and Clearing, it isn't out of the question for Q384/385 to be extended all the way to Chicago, with one pair of trains going to Barr, and the other to Clearing.

We'll have to see how much intermodal there is to move. Too little and it'll tag on the existing manifests, too much and it'll run alone. If it is just right, I could see them working the extensions of 326/327/384/385 to give up to eight daily arrivals/departures from Wyoming Yard. Currently we have 4.

For anybody keeping score, and particularly for the "Harrison is going to get rid of Michigan" crowd, let's take a look at the box score:

- Q326/327 are now daily Chicago-GRP manifests/intermodals. Formerly thrice-weekly manifest moves. Common second sections.
- Q384/385 are now daily GRP-Selkirk trains. There was no road manifest train east of GRP after Feb-2015
- D707/708 are no longer burdened with the road traffic so they can actually, you know, do their local business

So GRP now originates/terminates 28 road trains per week, versus a whopping 6 before the Harrison. That is a 467% increase. And there has been no reduction in local train service, at least in terms of train starts, that I'm aware of in the GRP service area.

If the intermodal warrants it we might get Q195/196 back! From what I've seen so far we're looking at EB traffic only and about 20-30 wells. Slightly smaller than the larger Q195/196's of the past but well with in the average size for those trains. It's nice to see a second 327. Let's see how long we keep them!

CSX has closed Detroit for most routings west and south bound in 53' UMXU containers. I have not compared the list to the price guide to see if all lanes are closed. But everything UP appears to be gone. I have not seen any other service cancellations for Detroit service from other vendors. What is odd is the UP just raised UMXU rates on Friday to Detroit from all UP origins by $500 which was after CSX's closing date. Are UP and CSX not communicating?

I know the UP has a cross over penalty of $175 in place for any UMXU container outgated from a UP ramp and ingated at a CSX ramp. It will get worse before it get's better as the UP is not happy with EHH.

I heard a Q131 last night around 130am in BG. It sounded really short, so I don't know what that indicates. (That's the UP train)
