Short coal train?? E800-03

Unread post by TSS »

Listening to my scanner recordings from yesterday (10/4), I heard St Joe bridge giving a camera shot to E800-03 and the train was only 26 cars long. What’s up with that? If they had to double the hill account no pushers, the train should have been combined well before St Joe. And 26 cars isn’t even half a coal train...

Could be a batch of coal gons heading west for repair or return to service on other trainsets.

you must have been mistaken.....total cars for E80003 was 126, not 26.
