There is a s/b C N train on the NS " Old Main ". Because of a heat kink on the " Old Wye ". Just sayin.

Does this mean there could be more CN trains on the Old Main later today?

Just finished the repair ( Darn :-( ) Welded rail can be such a pain. But, with the heat the next few days it could produce the same results. Stay tuned...

Best I have is a still taken from a crappy cell phone video taken after dark facing east on Clay Ave. Still it's better than nothing:

GTW 79197 (best guess Icould get from the photo) was placed at Markham IL 2:20 9/28/17

Get me a number and I can tell you where it is.

Meant to say facing west on Clay. Train was M391 on Thursday 09/21.

Caboose was indeed 79197. Saw number clearly at CP YD earlier.

Postings on Facebook claim it's in Homewood (?) for PTC installation. Problem is, who puts PTC on a caboose, especially one as rough as the 79197?

Who puts the latest technology in to the oldest railroad equipment on the planet ? Why management of course ! and THEN they blame everyone (but them self's ) in the winter, when things don"t work right or the summer when its too hot for the equipment.
