I think about 2 miles remain. Their only active customer at the moment is the plastic transload in Hartford next to CSX.

They loaded 2 hoppers with them a few weeks ago and both cars are still in the yard in Grand Rapids. Not sure what happened.

A rail customer that is "C.O.D." is typically not a very stable customer. Train crews generally do not have a change squirter on their belt like the carhops do at A&W.

Does anyone know where the tracks end east of Hartford?
And why did the cold storage place stop shipping by rail?

Cold Storage place is now operated by a logistics company rather than a canning plant/warehouse. Maybe that has something to do it.
