Will 24 still be in GR this Friday? I will be passing through town and wanted to take a few photos. Will it be parked in the yard around 5-6 p.m, or will it be in the engine house? If not I will try to visit her in her new home. Sad to hear she's leaving us.

It's been parked outside next to the engine house for some time. I'll post if I see it setting on the interchange track. Photo op isn't very good, partially blocked by inbound hoppers.

It will be sad when she leaves. I had hopes of being able to work on that one. No such luck. Almost as sad as when 179 left Muskegon and 180 was scrapped.

Hoppers all left for Lowell yesterday. However the only way to get a good broadside photo is to trespass:(

Why would they swap the horn?

Because the employees like the Nathan 5 chime. I agree with them. If I was selling a loco I would certainly send it down the road with my least favorite horn, or none at all.

Sticking it to the man lmao

Does anyone know how much longer MMRR GP9 #24 will remain at the GRE yard?

No, but raildude's dad said he'd post when he sees it on the interchange track waiting to head out. A GLLX engine from north carolina was due to arrive in Hartford MI today.. it has been on CSX for 2 months, traveling from North Carolina.. finally arriving... gotta guess it'll take a while to get where it's going :)

Seems odd. Don't they usually move a locomotive as freight on the respective lines to get it there?

It's a CF7 Clinton Terminal "Pink Lady". Only 2 engines and 2 cabooses at Hartford Thursday. Next GLLX question, where is GTW 4433?

That was an error on my part. I went to the wrong industry. I was too far north.
