MMRR #24 was included on the GRE Lowell Turn today, looked to be online. The 3885 continues to be the mainstay GRE power, but with the 24 back online, there are now questions about what comes next!

Haven't heard of anything from the 3805 in Manistee, either.

KRR 3805 is now being used on the MQT. Hasn't ventured too far south yet.

Be curious as to her future. Does it stay there or come to the GRE?

IMRR SD20 No. 81 is being added to the MQT roster. Arrived in GR yesterday on Q326, should go up on Z151 next time.

Wiki and the first page of this thread updated. Have there been any other roster changes in the last year? Thinking particularly on the HESR side, might not be wholly up to date

Not yet noted in this thread, so for the record: MMRR 24 was sold to International Paper in Franklin, VA last year, and departed in the summertime. Left still in its Railtex-era Blue and White scheme.

Additionally, both the MQT 3390 and 3391 are now working on the HESR.

KRR 3805 is now dead the cause...... the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products.

I did a little updating on the HESR wiki page. the 2025 has recently had its electrical rebuilt. the cab still says GP38, but I have to believe they rebuilt her to GP38-3 standards... i might be wrong though. i haven't been able to ask anyone yet. 2026 is updated. Page 1 on here is badly wrong.

Hence why I asked if there were any changes. I don't have any means to keep track of the HESR, so all info on them is appreciated. Let me know what needs to change so I can get those in there! :)

  YESSSS!!!!!!!!  I've been wanting to see this very same locomotive for years! It was working in Peoria, Illinois (Illinois Midland®) and later Indiana Southern®! I thought #81 was "Transferred" to Port Inland® in the UP to work with the other C&IM SD20 locos! I guess I was wrong, and that "Somehow" this C&IM SD20 stayed pretty much the same for years! When did Chicago & Illinois Midland® cease operations? :?:

Here are four CIM SD20 (must not be #81) locos on their way to Larry's, 4/15/2016 Wheeling, IL (photo by Kyle Krinninger):

The Chicago and Illinois Midland ceased to exist in 1996 when it was purchased by the G&W. The name was changed to the Illinois Midland which accounts for the painted out C and & on the unit going to MQT. It has run as the Illinois Midland since 1996.

The current roster of the IMRR is

30-31 which are the only two RSD1325's ever built.

43 SW1500

60-61 SD18's

They previously ran

40-42 SW1500

50, 52-54 SD9

81-84 SD20's (rebuilt from SD24's)

450, 456, 462-463 SD45-2's

The IMRR also pools power with the Tazewell and Peoria, which I believe is the former Peoria and Perkins Union. IMRR 81 was previously in use on this having not been sold off to LTEX. Some of the SD20's were also working in the UP for a period until G&W lost the operations of the Port Inland operation.

The RSD1325's were recently moved around so they are no longer there.

Thanks for getting the updates on here. A clarification, the first list there is for units not in G&W paint, so those new units aren't supposed to be listed. But, there are changes to be made, so here we go!

I figure the Wiki Roster pages have the rosters covered well enough to not require keeping copies in the forum here :)

IMRR 81 was never transferred to LTEX. It was stored LUGO on Indiana Southern until G&W decided to send it north due to lack of coal business on ISRR.

Your roster is woefully outdated.

Current IMRR roster:

1 RS1325: IMRR 31
1 GP38-3: IMRR 2084 (ex-DM&E in DM&E paint, soon to get orange)
2 GP38AC: RLK 3878 (former CSX unit still in CSX paint) and IMRR 8802 (ex-HESR)

They also have the ability to use power from the Toledo, Peoria and Western and the Tazewell and Peoria. Currently TZPR is "borrowing" 8802, and the IMRR has TP&W GP38 2056 in trade.

IMRR 43 is on TZPR now, 30 got moved to the ATW, the SD18s are on Indiana Southern IIRC.

Saturnalia, 2026 was repainted in November or December. It was recent.
Apparently I work on GEs now...
