No one hurt when train strikes semi

No one was hurt when a train struck a semi Monday afternoon in Isabella County.
The accident occurred on East Weidman Road west of North Mission Road when a semi, driven by John Vanduinen, 49, Fife Lake, and a train, engineered by Edward Allen, 53, Alger, collided, reports the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office. Vanduinen was headed west on Weidman Road at the railroad tracks when he started cross while he talked on a CB radio. He did not see the train heading south.
The semi was pushed off the roadway and struck a farm implement.
No one, including a passenger on the train, was hurt.
Vanduinen was wearing a seat belt.
