Well, its my understanding that LSRC 371 receieved its stripes this past week. its currently in Alpena and is now in full LSRC dress. LSRC 3563 also recieved its new logo and no longer looks naked.. LSRC 975 and 3504 and 1195 are awaiting work up north also with the 3504 needing new wheelsets. Caught the LSRC 3500 (sick horn and all), and LSRC 3515 on Saturday switching the south end of the Weanona yard and than heading to the North Yard. no pics though cause it was a crappy day.
SGVY 998 is in the shop house having work done. Its unsure as to what kind of work they are doing. CMGN 5175 remains in the yard as it has some sort of mechanical defect, but I am still unsure as to whats up with it. HESR 4065 remains in the storage track as its been there a long time and its unknown what its problem is. As short on power as the HESR is, I'm sure its a major problem. HESR 3865, 3866,3867, CMGN 9712 MNN 1471, SGVY 999 are all out in the thumb. HESR 5086, CMGN 2002 and 8905 are on coal train duty. HESR 3868 is in Alma on the MMRR, HESR 5492, CMGN 2001, and 8903 are on the drand Local and midland assignments. HESR 8802 and CMGN 8804 are still assigned to Durand and CMGN 2014 is assigned out of Bay City on the Saginaw CM 740 job. that should cover all HESR power for the time being. and also any news on the LSRC power as of right now. Power sitting in Reese is 1471/3865/9712.Power out at Towerline rd. is 3867. Tuesday caught 8802/2001or2002/and 5492 leaving Bay City on the 702.Lately 9712 has been working the Vassar job.Just my observations this week.
