Thanks for the Peoria shots MKT. I opened the first image and had a sense of daja vu.

I had the opportunity to hi-rail the entire Peoria and Pekin Union just prior to the lease to G&W.

Hooters girls were having a carwash that day. I don't think I will ever see that from the cab of a hi-rail again. :D

C&IM 81 is an interesting rebuild. It looks like part SD9, SD38 & SD40 :?

Rebuild program by IC in late '70s and early '80s. Mix of UP SD7s and SD24s along with Southern SD24s and a handful of B&O SD35s.

First Huron & Eastern orange unit is on its way. 3038 is being painted in Bad Axe and should be done by the end of the week. Paint job will even include clearcoat! Pictures taken Sunday the 27th. One of the painters told me they would then be going to Muskegon after just the one H&E unit.

Great pictures MP73point4. Heading out to Deckerville/Bad Axe today with hopes of catching 1721 working the beet loading.

Thanks for the report! All the editing at the beginning of the page has been complete, but please let us know when she makes her maiden run, so I can record the date!

Interesting they will go to Muskegon after just one H&E unit.

Had a good trip to Deckerville, caught the 1721 but didn't get a good video as it was moving about 20ft at a time..... But all in all good trip and nice to hear 1721's horn again. I did go through Bad Axe but no power out and about engine house was closed up and didn't get close. I did snap a few pictures but didn't review them yet.

Well we're getting ever closer to an all-MQT Marquette. The 3000 was re-stenciled for the MQT a few days ago. Still have the old logos on the side, so just a patch. Wonder if they'll slap a sticker on in awhile when the paint crew returns?

Just the GR 3839 left...

Lists on the first page edited to reflect this, but of course nothing has changed lists...also updated the wiki

Here's Huron & Eastern 3038 after just being rolled out of the paint shop in Bad Axe. Paint crew is heading to Muskegon next to do one, then moving down to Arkansas.

Gotta love fresh, sharp paint! Updated the list here to include today's date, 11-2, as her completion date. If someone catches wind of her maiden run, I'd be happy to replace the date to match the rest :)

It is the 6th Michigan Unit in G&W Livery.

Lists and Wiki are now updated with the MMRR 1216, the ex MS 73 now in G&W Orange.

There are now just 24 ex-RailAmerica units left on roster in their original form, compared to 7 Pumpkins. That brings a total of 31 G&W Iron Horses in Michigan.

Anyone have action shots of the HESR 3038 yet?

GRHC - you know every night I can imagine he is in front of his computer screen sitting in his underwear swearing profusely and drinking Blatz beer combing the RailRoadFan website for grammatical errors.
