i took the train to Chicago today and notice some stuff and have some questions

1. A track has a ballast train sitting in the willow run yard. Two of there freight looking locos with about 10 ballast cars between them.
2. The 110 mph track is amazing it really helps the trip.
3. How Far East is the 110mph track going to extend from battle creek
4 when are they going to upgrade the single level coaches to something more modern. They are really showing there age.
5 I noticed massive amounts of cement ties at the Jackson station I think.
6. Lastly why on parts of the MDOT owned line is freight still taking priority. We had to stop once or twice, not as bad as it use to be though.

3. The 110 isn't to battle creek yet, it's as Far East as kalamazoo
4. Eventually.. There are plans for bi level coaches (or even the Wisconsin talgo sets of the state gets their hands on those)
6. Technically speaking they didn't have priority, but on the single track you will have meets and have to wait.. If you want to see freights get priority go to the CN and watch some via trains.

3. It should extend to Townline once completed
4. New bilevel coaches are on order from Nippon-Sharyo. I believe the State of Michigan DOT has already purchased or is in the process of purchasing the Talgos.
6. Ypsi is correct. You'll have meets on the single track and will have to wait. 351 ALWAYS waits for 350 on a passing siding near Lawton (I think it's near Lawton...don't quote me on that.)

Good thing we aren't quoting you....the 'normal' meet is at Three Oaks or Dayton Lakes and more often than not, 350 is in the hole for that

Yeah Dayton Lake is the correct place. Closest place I could think of is Lawton but that's way north.

Not Trowbridge. Townline.

Trowbridge is the diamond where CSX and CN cross each other, in East Lansing, MI. Townline is in SE Michigan, not too far from Detroit.

The courts just this last week ruled that Talgo has the right to sell those cars, so MDOT may now be looking to buying them.
