Did any of you who got out to the site get any photographs of the sideways P42's underside? I'm trying to update my textures for my Trainz P42 models and so far this accident is the best chance of me finding any that I've found.

sounds like the 128 and horizons have gone home (probably went some time ago)

I saw 128 at Beech Grove next to a burnt out hulk. Any ideas?

anyway did anyone get to see them take the units away (if Amtrak did) and does anyone think that they will salvage the 128?

Reports submitted to the FRA estimate damage costs from this accident at around 2.3 million dollars.

This includes $2.2 million to equipment, $37,000 to tracks and $50,000 to the semi-truck.

ya I suppose so. I'd still happily take them; however my original reason for asking about them is a bit mute at the moment, as I wanted to see them so I could do a proper undercarriage texture on my P42s I'm making for Trainz. However I'm releasing them tomorrow, so they won't get those textures in time for this release. Not to worry (and still post them!) as there should be another release of them!
