Metra/Amtrak Affected by Flooding.

Unread post by Jochs »

This morning, I heard that Amtrak train service between Chicago and Milwaukee was suspended due to flooding, though apparently 7 ran normal later, and 8 rerouted through Rochelle.
Also, Metra trains were suspended this morning, but expect to resume normal service for the Wednesday Evening rush hour, however, with delays due to speed restrictions in flooded areas.

Unfortunately, more rain is in the forecast for this evening and overnight.
I heard on the news that some areas in NW IL have received over 7 inches of rain in the past 24 hrs.
