Do trains 148/149 begin and end in Chicago?

If so, which yard?
Do the stacks on 116 come from the same place?

At one time 148/149 were Montreal to New Orleans, or so I thought. Not sure where 116 originates.

Last I had heard 148/149 were Chicago-Montreal trains, and 116 was Vancouver, BC to Flat Rock.

Correct. Q148-91 is Chicago, IL - Montreal, PQ and Q149-21 is Montreal, PQ - Chicago, IL.

However, Q116-51 is Roberts Bank, BC - Chicago, IL and Q116-91 is Chicago, IL - Flat Rock, MI. Technically, they're two separate trains.

What intermodal traffic goes to Flat Rock? Or is this symbol also used for vehicle rack trains?

From what I understand, this train runs with intermodal and manifest traffic. The intermodal is set out at Moterm Yard while the rest of the train goes to Flat Rock.

Thanks, FLA581. I thought the train out of Fat Rock that handles Moterm intermodal and everything else in-between Battle Creek was 451 :? .

Are both -51 and -91 daily trains?

Thanks again. Do we know which yard 148 originates from?

I thought I had seen pictures of 148 on the J at West Chicago, but maybe it was actually 116.

Q148-91 originates and Q149-21 terminates at Chicago Intermodal Terminal (ex-IC Markham hump yard).
