Nice videos TPW. It's nice how you are far enough away to make out the engines and cars but close enough to get all the sights and sounds.

Do you know anything about KJRY? It seems like the only sizeable customer they service is the corn plant at the far west end of their line yet they seem to enough customers somewhere else to generate 30-50 car trains into Peoria three times per week.

Actually followed them west a bit yesterday. They seem to only show up once a week and you never know when. Appears to be Mapleton to La Harpe one day then Keokuk the next and then eventually go back to Mapleton and then next day go to EP and back then do the cycle over again.

You've done a good job catching PREX considering they only run into Peoria once or twice a week

It was a disappointment when Iowa Interstate got rid of its SD38-2's

They still have 4 of them. The others were sold off, 2 of which are now on the South Shore.

The last time i was to Mapleton Illinois was December of 2007 there was a RS3 Alco sitting there i took pics but it was a dark and gloomy day it was on the eve of that very bad New Years Day blizzard, I have a friend that lived in Watseka at the time and never will forget driving 365 miles home in an absolute blizzard i actually stopped at Dolton Jct for some snow shots.

There are rarely ever any box cars on any of the trains in your vidoes . The above video has several strings of box cars. Did they pick up a box car customer or are those for storage?
