Banned Chicagoland Hotspots that can still be accessed?

Unread post by BamaSubdivision94 »

Places such as State Line and McCook and all others that are on railroad property, is there still some way you can get a decent view of those locations?

Nerska was because of BoxcarFrank on Youtube, IIRC. It wasn't off limits til 2009, timeframe. That's when said Youtuber did some things that the BNSF didn't like, though I cannot remember all the details. "Trains" in one of their DVD's has video shot at Nerska, roughly 2004ish.

It was off limits before that. Him going back them only reinforced that. The TRAINS crew very well could have had permission to be there.

I think Pullman Jct., or whatever's left of it, is fairly off limits too.

Not much to see at Pullman Jct anymore anyway. Shell of its former glory, and the neighborhood around there is absolutely terrible.

McCook has not been accessible for years and probably never will be.
