Do you suppose the camera is bouncing a little or does the engine really move around back and forth that much?
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

Both. And it looks like the person applied YouTube's pointless video stabilizer when they uploaded the clip.

I take it there have been no test runs since Oct. 19. Understand that FRA must grant approval before scheduled service at 110 can began - have heard nothing on this.

Wondering if those ITCS boxes are temporarily mounted there as the Michigan engines have them on the right side of the engineer, angled so the second engineer/conductor can see what's displayed on the unit.

And yes AAARRR, those engines ride like that on the Mich line too....

I like the fact that there is grass growing on that bridge in the article picture. You would think on a class one the bridges wouldn't have grass growing out of them or on them.

Trains are now doing 110 between Dwight and Pontiac in revenue service.

Here is the best video I found of the test runs at 110MPH, not my video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwsAcDN9 ... kg&index=7

Any official announcements from Amtrak about these upgrades? We rode the Lincoln back from St. Louis and you could really tell when the 110 MPH section kicked in. We were blowing past traffic on the adjoining interstate. Pretty cool to experience it. I also saw stacks of concrete ties and crossing sections near Carlinville on the way down to St. Louis. How much of the line is being upgraded to allow 110 MPH speeds?
