A Little BN Flavor

Unread post by Y@ »

Last week, Cody and I stumbled upon a coal train crossing the Mississippi River in Burlington. We headed east in hopes that it would have something cool up front, and we were not disappointed. Two former Burlington Northern Executive Mac's, plus one more on the rear in DPU mode. Of course, the finishing touch was that it was running on the former BN Burlington to Chicago mainline. It's a far cry from what it once was, but seeing all BN paint on the Ottumwa Sub was pretty cool.

I'll have more from the trip eventually.
