I have been searching for info on the Prairie Central RR which operated in Illinois in the early-mid 1980's,specifically the portion from Paris to Mt. Carmel, a portion of the former NYC Egyptian Line.Apparently this was taken over from Conrail in 1982. When did operations on this line cease, and when did the Prairie Central cease all of its operations? Other than the Wikipedia article, there is very little information about this company.
