I believe #100 is at the Laharpe shops.

Re: Laharpe Shops
Anything new at Laharpe or updates?
Re: Laharpe Shops
Any new repair work or putting stored logos back in service?
Re: Laharpe Shops
So with the change in ownership what is the future of the LaHarpe Shops and what units are currently stored here? My understanding is the new owners want to sell or scrap many of the Pioneer units.

Re: Laharpe Shops
There was a big list published last year (that I can't seem to find now) of all of the units Pioneer was going to be selling. Mostly older NW and SW switchers along with the KJRY F units and some other oddities and older Geeps. Ex Ludington & Northern SW8 #16 was on that list, I don't believe its in Kendalville anymore.

On a related note, PREX 1000 (Elkhart & Western) was spotted on an eastbound NS train at Northwood, OH this morning. Anyone know where its headed?

Re: Laharpe Shops
This claims to be March 2020, a few observations it seems that Pioneer has pulled more GP-20s out of storage and put them in service. Missing are switchers like SW13, SW 1200s, Vandalia's SW9 and the former KT SW8. Some of these are still for sale. I'm not sure whether the switchers were sold or scrapped.

Re: Laharpe Shops
Just read that Brookhaven closed the La Harpe shops and has started scrapping a bunch of locomotives. Is this true?

Re: Laharpe Shops
In an article in Progressive Railroading when Brookhaven took over Pioneer they had over 80 locomotives and were using only 30. I assume they will keep some margin of locomotives over the 30 number for servicing and reserves. There is a glut of used locomotives on the market right now. Who know if Brookhaven will use part of the scrap proceeds to purchase some updated power?
I would curious as to whether they are going to continue to service locomotives in house and if so where on the system?

From an August 2020 Progressive RR article:
n addition to growing, Pioneer is trying to be more efficient while using fewer assets to provide reliable service. The company owns 80 locomotives but currently is operating only 35 of them.
