CN on the ground in Valpo

Unread post by MQT1223 »

Sounds like Q116 is on the ground on the single track in Valparaiso. CN is saying at least 24 hours before the main is open, should make the south bend sub fun tomorrow.

No details on the wreck really, hoping someone down that way knows what's up.

On Facebook, the Valpo police mentioned crossings in town blocked by a stopped train earlier today because the train had hit an unoccupied vehicle. I'm guessing this is the same train.

Did they derail as a result of the impact then?

That appears to be the case.
