Elkhart Yard
Went to the NS employee luncheon today to check things out and found that CP Rail has a yard office by the hump in Robert R. Young yard, didn't know that. Also a red and silver engine 8101 with yellow tape all around it as it had colliided with something. Kind of in the weeds behind the NS yard office.

Re: Elkhart Yard
It was reported 2 years ago on TO that 8101 was in Altoona being repaired from a side-swipe in Elkhart. Well it either never left or got side-swiped again? It definitely is in the jungle behind the yard office.

Re: Elkhart Yard
Heritage Units shows it was active 2 weeks ago. Hasn't been caught leading in about 6 weeks.
If it was damaged and needed to get home again, it wouldn't be leading. But it has been on the road since the previous oopsie.

Re: Elkhart Yard
Could it have a twin? Interesting as it is I wonder if they cloned it? No pictures of this unit have been posted since it was in Sacramento in July on stack train.

Re: Elkhart Yard
Case solved, was there for company picnic. Yellow tape was to keep the little ones in check. Must have come over from Bellevue during the night to Elkhart.
