St. John diamond

Unread post by EWRice »

I am looking for pictures of the signals near the NS/CSX diamond in St. John, Indiana. If anybody has anything, or knows any leads, please let me know. Or post here for all to see.
Thanks
E

Can't help too much, but attached are the google street view of the signals for the NS crossing just south of the diamond, and the CSX line just southeast of the diamond. Each signal is about 300 feet south of the diamond:

The interlocking was recently updated. Should have all new signals. (not the old ones seen in google)

Signals were upgraded for sure. The pictures posted look like triangle color lights, so I am thinking that this may be the NS track. I believe CSX had GRS searchlights. That is what I would like to see pictures of.

Read this, it's something new that's going to possibly happen to the CSX Railroad! And it should affect St John!

They have been dropping rail in and around Dyer for awhile, my guess is the rail gang will be working and closing the crossings. Nothing to get excited over, just normal stuff.
