I have not listened to the scanner for a while, but this evening (while slow chasing NS 9-1-1 westbound) I noticed that the detector at 420.0 transmits on channel 34 (Chicago East) instead of 46 (Toledo West). The remainder of the traffic was on the "correct" channels (including Toledo West talking a train through 417 and 412 down to the Marion line).

A friend who was riding #49 on Sat. said that 160.800 apparently is no longer being used between Cleveland and Elkhart. If you know of any changes pls advise so I can assist him in setting up his scanner when he travels east in a few days.
Thanks!
Andy

160.800 is in use from west of Toledo to Elkhart. Cleveland to Toledo recently changed channels from another Conrail channel

Correcting myself for the record: The defect detector at 420.0 simulcasts on 34 and 46. My scanner was preferring the 34 transmission but I have been able to confirm that the transmission is simulcast ... allowing westbound trains to hear their results on 34 and eastbound trains to hear their results on 46.
