Line parallel to CSS in Hammond?

Unread post by justin_gram »

I was wondering what the line that runs parallel to the South Shore line (and under at Torrence Ave) in Hammond and Hegewisch is called and who it's owned by... Looked it up, but so many lines run through Hegewisch I can't tell what one this is. Seems like almost every time I ride the south shore a train is moving on this line with either BNSF, CSX, or NS power. Thanks!

That is the NS Chicago District (not to be confused with the Chicago Line).
