That is excellent news. Based on previous history, are we thinking cutover next Monday or more likely the following Monday?

Well we saw the CP 426 test address before the CP 423 one.

It usually isn't long after we see the test addresses until we see things go live. But sometimes its over a week, but rarely over two weeks.

10-9 is CP Indy. But that seems to be a Lake division crew doing that.

They may decide to do 426 and 423 at once, we will see.

That would make sense. We are about a week out from when the test for CP 426 was seen so "any time now". :)

(They do need time to install the crossover at CP 423. But they have had two days. )

No idea where it is but there is an unconfigured MCP or something squaking away with an 0000000003 address.

It's interesting that they retained the signal numbering from before (non standard), with 8E and 8W on Main 1 instead of the traditional 2E and 2W (like CP 423 and elsewhere).

Since about Laporte. New guy is doing the programing.

Laporte was half the old guy, half the new guy.

The old CP426 WB bridge came down just before 1:15pm. The new WB cantilever was being bolted down at 2:30pm after being turned.

Do you have a list of where all of the reused signals are between 515 and 412? Seems like there are a few popping up now.

Couple extra track circuits. New approach circuit for the outbound.

And the biggest thing, one of those double approach blocks for the inbound.

Instead of one approach block on each track (1EA and 2EA) there is an advance approach block (AEA and BEA) for trains that are a little further out. Typically the 1EA or 2EA block would be "ON" if a train is between the CP and the next signal (429 in this case) and the AEA or BEA block would be on if a train is within two signals or more (431 in this case). At some CPs the AEA/BEA blocks overlap the AWA/BWA blocks of the next CP (I do not expect that between CP 435 and CP 426). Older CPs may have AEA/BEA be separate from 1EA/2EA where a train can be in 1EA without AEA being on. (The most recent installations have not kept that separation.)

BTW: If you want to see the signals changed out by the cranes check out the following. The first couple of minutes are real time, the rest is 2X speed.

Well sorta. the INBOUND. Ie the south most yard lead. Will look just like the approach circuits into CP 509 off the BRC

Ahh ... I did not catch that you were referring to that specific track.

There is a signal on the inbound (4254E). The signal shows yellow or red. Before the upgrade the track between "5T" and "5WA" did not appear to have a bit assigned (and 5WA seemed to be "occupied" unless a train was cleared to enter the Inbound Runner from the main line). Perhaps with the change the track between the CP and 4254E will now have a bit? (This signal replaced another signal that was at the same location. That particular signal was changed out a few weeks ago.)

The Inbound lead should work just like the Colehour running track off 506/507. And the BRC lead off 509.

CP 423 is up. Not the most accessible thing for pictures. But at least it's receiving!
