NS commemorative engines in Elkhart
NS commemorative engines in Elkhart
This past fall my nephew just happened to be in Elkhart when three NS commemorative engines appeared together. They were the NYC, the PRR and the Penn Central. He said the came out near the museum, oodles of photographers were there, then after a few minutes they returned back towards the yard. Neither he nor I have seen any pictures of this lash-up despite so many photographers being present. Is anyone on this board familiar with this event?

It was this:

I was impressed they pulled it off as I was told getting any unit to be displayed would be difficult.. To have all 3 is neat and shows the value of knowing the right people.

Penn Central Historical Society meet at the NYC museum, hence the NYC, PC and PRR units together for the photo op.
