I searched the Indiana forum and didn't see the answer to my question, please forgive me if this information is posted elsewhere.
I see people post reports fairly frequently of stuff they've seen in LaPorte. Is there a specific location people watch trains at in LaPorte and if so, where is it?
Thank you for any information you can share.

Re: Laporte Question
I've parked near Washington St and Adams St in one of the dirt lots with no issues before: https://goo.gl/maps/2wlx7
Also have parked just north of the bridge at N 150 E and sat on the bridge to watch the freights go by: https://goo.gl/maps/Dt2aj
Album with some La Porte pics, some taken a little east and west of there: http://railroadfan.com/gallery/thumbnails-1570.html

Re: Laporte Question
I love going out of La Porte on US 2 and follow it to W100S just out side of Pinola. The tracks follow the road on a curve, there is room to park along side the road and the tracks, plus there are signals both ways so you can tell if something is coming.
