GM stamping plant in trouble?

Unread post by redside20 »

In Indianapolis http://www.insideindianabusiness.com/ne ... p?ID=42467 they are preparing for a possible shutdown if a buyer isn't found.

CSXCO, i was curious if you know where could find or if you could give me a breakdown off all the customers served by the railroads in the Indy area. On bing i viewed the Senate Ave yards of the INRD and the Lilly Industrial Center. Could you explain the operations of Hawthorne, Hill, and Senate yds as well as the Indianapolis Union Terminal?

Shut down of the GM stamping plant has been in the works for the last couple of years. Down to just a trickle of cars out of there a day. Stuff for Kansas City, and Arlington, TX. Did see a sole Oshawa CA car a few weeks ago.

Not many customers on the IU belt itself. Most exist on the Zionsville Industrial and Hunter Industrial. I'll try and come up with a more detailed list tomorrow.
