Elkhart IN. Canadian Pacific is down to 2.5 trains a day each direction through their terminal. All trains now originate/ terminate at Schiller Park, or Bensenville, and Windsor ON. Due to the slow down in freight traffic, the terminal is now down to 8 crew slots each direction.

So I take it with the slow down those crews are facing 'furlough'? From what I understand, Elkhart was set up as its own senority roster to keep qualified employee's there, and keep people from bumping in from elsewhere. That being said, I wonder if those employee's can then bump to Bensenville or elsewhere to keep a job?

They can bump on any former SOO territory. My buddy who got recently bumped is looking at the Twin Cities or Milwaukee. Benseville to North Dakota is the rang of choices. The pool was set up so it was harder to bump around, basically you had to get furloughed to be able to move.
