I am sitting at Kendalville IN CP 379 and the lower piece to a new cantilever just showed up.

There are some NS guys with a crane waiting for it on at the existing WAS

I found a letter to the Surface Transportation Board dated last October 13th where NS was explaining the delays Amtrak experienced last year and the steps NS was taking to fix the problems. One of the steps mentioned was the completion of PTC on the Chicago Line by the end of 2015. Unless this has been delayed, I suspect this year will have plenty of signal replacements (especially at the "one way" signal locations).

In a January presentation NS reported 2878 miles of signal construction complete and 1300 miles estimated for 2015 (at a cost of $220 million).

Cutover has started. But the Goshen server has went to pot, so it's hard to see anything.

CP 412 and CP 415 are in local ... CP 412 is spitting out six active bits I have not seen before. :)
(via the Aggregator ... which started getting flaky Friday night.)

"07R" NS 8883 is taking a few cars out on the track as a work train.
An interesting dance to get authority from Toledo West to get 8883 to CD 416 from CP 421 ...
Then authority from Chicago East to get 8883 through the plant at CP 421 to Track 2 ...
Coming soon ... authority from the person in control of the Out of Service track east of CD 416.

Are you grabbing any local logs for ATCS? Both CP 412 and CP 415 are running 90+% error rate.

Nothing new for CP 417, so perhaps tomorrow?

Nope, I was up there yesterday working on the Ossian server. So I can't be up there today.

New 412 and 3 are on, old 415 still on. Not sure the plan.

Cranes have moved from CP 412 to CP 417 and 419. It looks like they are the next to spin.
Crossings near CP 412 have been flagged all day with NS workers motioning cars around the gates.
(Not that impatient drivers need much encouragement to go around gates ... a car nearly got hit by the crane taking CP 415 to the junkyard. Even though an NS employee was in the crossing stopping traffic.)

CP 415 is three straight tracks. Very bumpy on Track 3, still working on making it passible on Track 2. The work train has been waiting most of the day (SNAFU).

143 pictures so far today ... I'll find a couple to post.

Sure glad I made it down there over Spring Break to shoot all of that! Too bad I didn't have time to shoot 415 or 419.

CP 415 remains active ... it will probably die tomorrow when the tracks are taken out of service.
After the switch was removed the dispatcher continued to refer to it as CP 415.

Toledo West has been taking full advantage of having two mains open.
The parade started slow with a 10 MPH limit on Track 2 past former 415 ... the speed limit there is now 25 MPH.

The crews from CP 417 went down to CP 415 to help them out at the end of the day (8pm). At last check the crews were working on getting Track 3 ballasted - bringing in ballast from US 33. Goshen police were helping to divert westbound traffic on US 33 as the crews were blocking both westbound lanes.

Lusher and Hively did not close tonight ... it looks like 9pm Sunday to 9am Tuesday is a window. That should make locals happy ... although when the crews start working early tomorrow morning it may mess up their morning commute.

I see one report from "75501600010202" this morning at 8:55am. That is the number I expected to see used. Perhaps later today there will be more codeline traffic.

I have also noticed that CP412 is completely different. It looks like all the switches are at the top (bits 11-18).
I have not paid close attention to CP3. Hopefully I can watch this evening and see what is being indicated.

The new address is what I am expecting for CP 417.

the data from the "new" CP 412 is also what I was expecting. I need to watch the new address to verify a few things before posting a new kit. Is the Goshen radio back online yet?

We are getting agregator data from somewhere ... NYC Museum?

Cp 417 has more reports now.

Any idea what is going on at CP 421 tonight? For at least the past two hours, nothing has moved through the control point on ATCS.

The line was closed for CP 417 completion until after 9pm. On Sunday there were welding crews working. I didn't see any work tonight.

Eastbounds flowing through CP 417 and welders working at CP 412 within the past half hour. The second eastbound I saw passed CP 417 around 10pm. I am back home with the radio now.

I can see that now, but CP 417 error rate is still WAY too high to help verify anything.
