These tours will take visitors through the 18-stall roundhouse, back shop, & the Historic collection of the Age of Steam Foundation. The roundhouse complex is home to 20 steam locomotives. Failure to print, sign, and bring the waiver will result in non-participation. Attendees must arrive promptly at their tour time - no late arrivals or individual tours will be permitted. Children under 5 are not permitted. A separate waiver form for children age 5-18 signed by parent or legal guardian will be required. All visitors must wear appropriate, closed-toe footwear (i.e. no sandals or high-heels.) No refunds or rain checks.

The roundhouse tour Benefits the Harrison Coal & Reclamation Historical Park’s Mining & Energy Museum & Land Fund. The Mining & Energy Museum Fund has been created for the following purposes · The ability to acquire land. Plans are to acquire 200-250 acres of land. · Constructing a museum building and an open air area featuring mining, construction, agriculture, logging, transportation, and oil & gas history. · Constructing a maintenance & restoration building. · Future maintenance, restoration, and expansion needs of the grounds and equipment.

Our plans are to partner with area high schools, vocational schools, colleges & universities for their mechanic, agriculture, energy operations, natural resource, machining, welding, heavy equipment, and marketing programs. We would also host events featuring mining, construction, agriculture, logging, transportation, and oil & gas history.

The Harrison Coal & Reclamation Historical Park is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization. Donations to the fund are tax deductible. We currently own over 20 pieces of equipment relating to the above mentioned industries, including a Marion 7200 walking dragline.

I went on the first tour they had for individuals back in June, it is well worth the travel over there! Besides seeing the locomotives, they did a great job building the roundhouse and seeing the machinery in the shop area is pretty cool too.
