Seeking history of what is now NC Maumee River swing bridge

Unread post by BeeGuy »

Do any of you know the funding mechanism of the 1855 railroad bridge over the Maumee used by the Cleveland & Toledo and successors? I'm particularly interested to know if Ohio, Toledo or any other government entity provided money, and if there were conditions attached to the cash.

Thansk, but right river, wrong bridge. What I'm interested in is now the NS bridge just east of the Toledo depot. It was also once the New York Central main line between Buffalo and Chicago. Can you help?
