Columbus Area Railfan trip

Unread post by Fred »

Will be down in that area middle/end of Sep't and am interested in the current operations of the Camp Chase RR: Kanawha River RR, and the Cincinnati East Terminal RR. Would appreciate any & all info. Thanks

Camp Chase is Mon-Fri in the mornings. Go to Georgesville Rd by the Hollywood Casino to find them and what they might be doing.

Kanawha will be based out of Hobson down by the Ohio River. Supposedly going to be Monday north to Columbus and Watkins and then return south on Tuesday. Repeat on Thurs-Fri if necessary. Might be a coal train thrown in the mix but no set pattern.

Who knows on the CCET. At least a couple times a week switch Hyumataki at Bativia. Maybe go to Winchester if needed. Move around some storage cars possibly. Don't go on the Evans property where the engines are stored.
