Hello all, new here....
Hello all, new here....
My first post....
Hi folks, I just wanted to say hello & introduce myself. I'm a long time fan of trains, but it has been years since I stood trackside with camera in hand. I went out last Friday for the first time in 15 years or so. Stopped by Willard, Bellvue, Fostoria & back to Willard on the way home. Man how times have changed, I used to walk all over camera in hand & no one ever questioned me, in fact I'd been invited into locomotive cabs & shops to have a look around. Now everything is no trespassing signs everywhere. Guess that is the world we now live in. Hope to see some of you trackside one day.

Welcome. What interests you about railfanning?
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

I guess it is the trains, big power! Being a gear head I love engines. I'm finding most all power now looks the same except for different colored paint. Another change from my early days of chasing trains.
Forgot to say, thanks for the welcome AARR.

First, you need the video on YouTube. And that link. For example this one. https://youtu.be/x-vaa_Yi4bkPaw95 wrote:How do you upload a video to this forum. I saw one and I couldn't find out how to
Then right above this text box while writing a post you hit YouTube, which gives you this.
Then you put the last part of that link, x-vaa_Yi4bk, in between the ][
That gives you something like this

You can find me in the Michigan and Ohio Talks. Republic, Ohio is an awesome place to railfan. I even have family members and family history in Republic, Ohio.
Re: Hello all, new here....
Thanks for the tip Joshua. I was almost though there last Friday. I really enjoy driving through those small NW Ohio towns, so much to see. Next time out that way I'll make sure to have a look.

I'm thinking I may head up that way Saturday. Of course things could change as they often do.
