Plan is to load tower on trailer today and will be on its way to Utah if it survives the dismantling.

Heber Valley Railroad in Heber City, Utah acquired it for a tower restoration project they are undertaking. Nova Tower is not being moved to Utah for reconstruction or restoration, but is being basically stripped for usable parts.

They should be able to salvage the model board and possibly parts of the interlocking machine, but beyond that the tower is firewood.

Sooooo, did it end up going to Utah? IMO, it should end up somewhere it will be appreciated, like Murrion.

My brother was showing me pics of piles of lumber and a tower base he took. I think they just tore down the tower and didn't save it.

They were never saving the tower. They were taking the model board and interlocking machine out for parts.

No one has said they were taking the model board. I have a call out to try and find where it ended up.

Another group *was* trying to save the tower complete (for the last couple years) - though they obviously failed. From what little I paid attention to that I believe that effort failed due to lack of funds.
