From a posting on the Fort Wayne Railroadfan website dated April 11, 2018:

Gents,

The three chem cars at Woodburn have been there for weeks. Those are not Systech cars. I live in Woodburn, and work for Lafarge/systech. If those cars were ours we would have seen them at the plant asap. Probably being stored for someone else.

On a side note cement shipments are about to get crazy this summer. Numbers will be between 10 and 20 car loads a week. That is of course dependent on our Columbus terminal tonnage, and how busy our truck business is this year. Looks like the railroad is gonna be busy!!

Went through Liberty Center yesterday crossings paved over but no scrap of the line yet rail date was 1897

Rail line stays. Only thing will be rail removed or paved over at crossings

Agreement was made in case of future development north of US 24
At one time Bunge was looking at build north of US 24.

Ran into them coming back to Defiance on 9/10. Short train and mostly boxcars. My first time seeing them in person.

They have bulldozed most of the yardtracks
at Defiance. Will be building new tracks in same place.
