U919 on CSX?

Unread post by MSchwiebert »

Just had a Northbound loaded coal train under this symbol pass by the house here in Perrysburg (4:45PM) Loaded coal on the Toledo Sub (B&O) is not particularly common, and I was wondering if this was going to the Toledo Docks or up into Michigan? (Train is not listed on bullsheet.com)

U trains are normally trains for 'export' or 'transloading' to a ship.

U919-01 is headed for the docks with 134 loads of coal.

Thanks CSX_CO! I kind of figured that there was a general "coding" for the alpha portion of the CSX coal train symbols, but did not know what the letters represented. I'm guessing "T" trains are for domestic non power plant destinations (the Burns Harbor trains seem to be in the T900 block), "N" trains are for power plants & I'm not sure what the "V" trains do.
