I enjoyed your video. Like the talking between you and your son...reminds me of the days when I'd watch trains when my kids were little :D

May not mean anything but I just observed a suburban and pickup hi rail northbound across the Hamler diamonds.

Should have been the new I&O track dept head inspecting the line. Started in Springfield yesterday and headed north. Going to make it 40....

It will be interesting to see if the I&O will do anything with the 10 mph owls diamond at Hamler.

Nice videos of a lengthy I&O train...I thought it was double track for a short distance through Flat Rock. They didn't rip out the other main did they?

Same here, mutant. Thanks for posting it. RS - I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that segment has always been single track. The biggest change I'm aware of is the yard south of the main yard was removed and a lumber transload replaced it.

Chased the LNL on Dec. 31, 2014 which had some cool power.

Consist was OHCR 4030, 4028, CF&E 3889, and IORY 4084 and they had 5,100 feet of train behind them which helped make it awesome.

I wasn't planning on doing the I&O that day but the track light came on at North Hamler so I decided to check it out and I'm glad I did. Here they are south of town passing the distant signal.

Next was Leipsic

And then north of Ottawa back on the B&O, the sound of 645's was awesome.
I'm just here to put in time claims and complain

If the mobile environmental toxic oil spill aka 4083 and JFDX wasn't the power I would have sworn it was 1998 again the I&O was moving CN overhead traffic to Cincy. What's the deal with all of the gons on the train in the YouTube video?

I wondered the same thing, midland. Are they possibly for North Star in Delta?

Well that makes sense, but it seemed to far North to have anything to do with the steel plant. This was an everyday manifest. 26-cars

I think the Delta Switcher makes the Flat Rock Turn several days a week. The LNL only goes as far as Delta.

LNL waiting to go north at Cairo. 5007/5011/HLCX 8140. Get them while you can because I've heard from the inside that 3 GP50s are going into storage. 5013 broke down and became the first.
