A test train will be operating between Baltimore and Jacksonville, Fl. The test will be for a "Juice Train". Power will be provided by rebuilt E-8A's. Classified as E-8Me, these rebuilds have a single 16-710ECO instead of twin 567. They still run on DC current. 6 units will be rebuilt for the Juice train. a fleet of 70 Reefers have been refurbished and are painted in a white and blue scheme instead of the usual black and yellow. The E-8Me's will wear a similar scheme. The test train will be designated Z001.
